At yesterday’s The Sun Newspapers Awards night, various awardees who spoke straight from the heart, individually expressed what the honour meant to them, with a good number of them suggesting that the gesture would spur them to do more for humanity.
The Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, was awarded Most Impactful Royal Father of the Year, based on his massive investment in the real estate sector, and for championing national peace and reconciliation since he ascended the throne of his forefathers.
In his remarks after receiving his award, the monarch dedicated the honour to all the youths of Nigeria, saying the future belongs to them. He also called on all and sundry to join hands in building a strong and united Nigeria.
