The Oluwo of Iwoland in Osun State, Oba Abdurosheed Akanbi, has rehabilitated and empowered 50 youths who have been tagged as ‘thugs’ with cash gift.

In a statement made available to our correspondent on Friday, the monarch said the gesture followed the distribution of foodstuffs to the aged and less privileged to cushion the effect of the harsh economy.

He explained that the aim of the cash distributed to the youths was to promote vocational skills of youths who have acquired knowledge and graduated as apprentice from their respective craft.

The monarch, who noted that most of the youths have been derogatorily casted as thugs, assured his full commitment to redeem and reintegrate them to be good ambassador of Iwoland.
