Former Super Eagles star, Sunday Oliseh, pays tribute to Belgian international Kelvin De Bruyne for his pivotal role in Manchester City’s UEFA Champions League clash against Real Madrid, reports.

Despite a fierce battle at the Etihad Stadium, Pep Guardiola’s side succumbed to the Spanish team, with Oliseh singling out De Bruyne for his crucial equalizing goal that ultimately led to a penalty shootout.

With a 3-3 aggregate scoreline from the first leg in Madrid, the highly anticipated second-leg clash saw Rodrygo open the scoring for Real Madrid, momentarily silencing the home fans by tapping in a rebound past Ederson.

In the second half, De Bruyne mirrored the rebound scenario by capitalizing on a loose ball to bring Manchester City level, overturning their initial disadvantage in the competition.

However, a missed penalty from Bernardo Silva and Mateo Kovacic secured Real Madrid’s ticket to the next round with a 5-4 victory on aggregate.
