The new leadership of the Nigeria Football Federation, NFF has been asked to review and rejig football in the country with a view to repositioning the country on the world stage.

The charge came from former Green Eagles star and Super Eagles Assistant Coach stating that the new leadership is nothing new from the outgone executive but would be writing their names on the sands of time if they can effect the desired changes Nigerians dream about for soccer.

Speaking recently with Daily SunSport in his Festac home during the week, Okpalla noted that Nigeria football remains at risk of falling into deeper troubles unless the new NFF president, Shehu Gusau and his board turn things around.

“The new NFF board is not different from what we had before under Amaju Pinnick but Gusau will have to show his own leadership style that can help reactivate our football. Look at the FIFA World Cup coming up in November will be without Nigeria.

“I remember offering my services to the NFF. I told Amaju to allow me to join the team to help rejuvenate the players. I was ready to work for free and told him that when the team qualified, I should be paid.”
