It was described as a ‘great gig at Windsor’ by one unassuming Lagos big boy and politician who was at the party. Indeed, it was a stylish evening on Sunday 16 April when the cream of Lagos and London social establishment descended on the British capital for a very stylish event held by the Lagos socialite and oil merchant, Aare Bashir Olawale Fakorede and his wife, Yeye Tayo Fakorede for the second leg of their first daughter’s wedding. Earlier that day, Moyosore Fakorede had got married to Olabanji Kalejaiye at a classy white wedding ceremony held at Fairmont Windsor Park along Bishopsgate Rd, Windsor, Egham, United Kingdom. Notable socialites and friends of the Fakoredes were all out in their best to celebrate with the couple and their proud parents.

The newest couple had their introduction and traditional engagement in January at the bride’s father’s Banana Island, Lagos mansion. With those who attended the Lagos talk-of-the-town party yet to get over the memories of the classy celebration, the London party was on another level as Fakorede gave a good account of himself. An easygoing Fakorede who is the Aare Bobajoko of Ikate Kingdom is not your regular feisty socialite but rather a lover of life and humanity who believes that living one’s best life is about giving the best to humanity.
