The Ogun West youth under the auspice of Yewa Youth Pacesetters (YYP) have thrown their weight behind the reelection bid of the Ogun State governor, Dapo Abiodun.
YYP in a statement signed by its President, Dapo Fasola, on Tuesday, in Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital, declared that Governor Abiodun remained the only governorship candidate that can further take Ogun to the heights of socioeconomic prosperity.
According to the group, the governor, who has turned the state around in less than four years in office, deserved another term in order to continue his good governance, which has made the state live up to its sobriquet – The Gateway State.
Fashola, in the statement, observed that Governor Abiodun had touched every part of the state in terms of developmental projects, urging people in the state to vote for the governor and other candidates of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) on Saturday.
The statement reads partly: “We were asked recently by some contemporaries and league of our teeming supporters, who are we supporting in the upcoming race for governor in Ogun state. Without any hesitation, we told them that our votes will be for Dapo Abiodun of the APC.
“Governor Abiodun deserves every vote in Ogun West, the senatorial district has never had it as good as we are having presently.
“YYP had the opportunity to closely monitor the governor’s touches in Ogun West, he has worked tirelessly and performed excellently in the last forty-two months as the number one citizen of Ogun state. His landmark achievements are visible from one local government to another, especially in the areas of road construction, classroom renovation, rehabilitation of health centres, and women empowerment, among other projects throughout the state.
“Beyond doubt, Dapo Abiodun is the most qualified candidate to occupy the governorship seat in Ogun state. He exemplifies honesty, fairness and thoughtfulness. He will use these great qualities to continually lead Ogun state to an enviable position.
“As we choose the governor as the best candidate for the governorship seat of Ogun state, we want to encourage the people of Ogun State to vote for the best. A vote for Abiodun is a vote for the greatness of our state.”
