He condemned what he termed “sponsored protests” against Abiodun’s candidacy and urged  the State Governor, Senator Ibikunle Amosun, to accept the outcome of the primary in the interest of the party in particular and the state in general.

“It is on note that members of the party across the state voted for Abiodun to emerge as the party’s governorship candidate. The result of the election was announced by the National Working Committee given the mandate to conduct the election. The election was properly conducted. Abiodun is the man for the job.

“We must appreciate our governor for transforming the state. He should be rest assured that Abiodun will continue from where he has stopped. We are appealing to him to support Abiodun,” Solaru said.

Collaborating Solaru’s position, Olaitan and Oyenuga in their remarks, said party members in the council area would use their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs)  to vote for Abiodun.
