HJK defender Faith Obilor Friday has revealed his intentions to “gatecrash the Eagles World Cup party” to Russia if he gets a call-up from the team’s coach Gerhot Rohr.

The 23 year old defender who has impressed at his Finnish side with eye-catching performances dreams of going to the mundial despite not playing any part in the team’s journey to the soccer fiesta.

Hinging his chances on the openness and willingness of Rohr to extend invitations to outstanding players to slug it out with the regulars and Brian Idowu’s impressive debut for the team against Argentina-thanks to the Franco-German’s invitation-the Abia state born player is optimistic of sneaking into the team’s final list  for the mundial next year.

“I dream of making it to Russia. It is my ambition and hopefully, I can actualize it,” he enthused.

He went further, “the manager’s willingness to  extend invitation to players outside the regulars gives me optimism. If I get an invite, I would definitely make it tough for  him in his final selection. I  am good, and I know what I can offer if given the chance; just like Brian Idowu did,” he told Daily Sunsports.
