The Minister of State for Youth Development, Olawande Ayodele, visited the NYSC temporary orientation camp in Kaduna State and encouraged the 2024 Batch ‘A’ (Stream II) corps members to believe in themselves and explore the opportunities available in the country.

During his visit, the Minister donated N1 million and a cow to support the camp’s upcoming Cultural Day celebration. He emphasized the importance of self-belief and determination, sharing his own experience as a young minister as an example.

“If I, as a youth in my early 30s, can become a minister of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, you can also achieve your set goals,” he stated. “When you are determined, you can achieve what you want.”

The Minister commended the NYSC for its role in fostering national integration, cohesion, and unity. He acknowledged the organization as the largest youth-focused government organization in the country.

To further support the corps members, the Minister provided start-up capital to the best-performing corps member trained in each skillset under the NYSC’s Skills Acquisition and Entrepreneurship Development (SAED) program.

The State Coordinator of the NYSC, Mr Hassan Mahmud Taura, expressed gratitude for the Minister’s visit and provided him with an overview of the camp’s situation.
