Former Chief of Staff to the Imo State Government Ugwumba Uche Nwosu has described the Imo state election as the most peaceful among the three states .
He stated this during a Telephone Interview from Owerri, the Imo State capital.
The All Progressive Party chieftain attributed the victory to the good records of Governor Hope Uzodinma.
Nwosu urged Nigerians to disregard the rumours speculating on social media about the just concluded election, saying it was the mandate of the masses.
He added that there is nothing wrong in appealing the results of the election but urged them to join hands with the governor to work for the development of the state.
Speaking on the continuous black out in the state, he appealed to the organised labour to consider the poor masses and reconcile with the government.
Ugwumba Nwosu lamented that the black out is increasing economic hardship on the masses.
He said ” the Imo state election is the most peaceful among Kogi and Bayelsa”
“Nigerians should forget about what they see on social media because I am still there, Imo is peaceful”
The ruling party didn’t deploy any strategy to win the whole twenty seven local government than the democratic dividends that it made available for the people”
“I am so surprised that there is still no light in Imo state after all the pleading with the organised labour”
“It is really incurring hardship on the masses. It’s no good at all. Let’s learn how to forgive each other because even the almighty God forgives us.
Nwosu added that it is a new era as the governor would concentrate on infrastructural developments and Extension of development to other sectors that have not been reached.
He further appeal with Governor Hope Uzodinma to continue with his reconciliation crusade that he has started so that the people can join hands in the development of the state irrespective of party.
