Acting Technical Adviser of Niger Tornadoes, Majin Mohammed has been nominated by the League Bloggers Awards as nominee for the 2023/24 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) April awards, BSNSports.com.ng reports.
A total of ten personalities have been named including March 2024 winner, Fidelis Ilechukwu of Rangers.
The NPFL monthly LBAs, organized by MatchRoom Sports and Media Ltd. and currently sponsored by 54Footballx, have since 2009, been a platform where the efforts of top performers in Nigerian top flight are recognised.
The April honours features a list of 10 professionals from 8 clubs, in the running for two main categories of awards.
Majin recorded 3 wins in 5 matches, including a shock away win at Bendel Insurance. His team defeated the duo of Gombe and Doma United at home to complete a stellar month and recorded the most goals in the period: 11.
The Tornadoes gaffer will have other coaches to compete for the award including Ilechukwu of Rangers, Gbenga Ogunbote of 3SC and Stanley Eguma of Rivers United.
Nominees for the NPFL LBA Player of the Month for April 2024 include; Clinton Jephta of Niger Tornadoes, Deputy Echeta of Rivers United, Junior Lokosa of Sporting Lagos, Michael Ibe of Katsina United, Sikiru Alimi of Remo Stars and Ubong Friday of Akwa United.
Winners will be decided by a panel of Nigerian football experts, and announced by LBA’s social media channels on Friday, May 10, 2024.
