The Northern Awareness Network (NAN) has revealed an alleged plot by some politicians to dismantle President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s support base.

According to NAN chairman Salihu Sulaiman, the plan involves targeting nine high-performing ministers and cabinet officials who are believed to be instrumental in securing victory for President Tinubu in future elections.

The NAN claims to have uncovered a scheme that aims to weaken the bond between these officials and President Tinubu, thereby diminishing his chances of a second term in 2027. The targeted officials include Nyesom Wike, Hon Olubunmi Tunji Ojo, Abubakar Bagudu, Bello Matawalle, Hannatu Musawa, Femi Gbajamiala, Yusuf Bicci, and Festus Keyamo.

These individuals have been singled out for attacks and disrespectful treatment in an apparent attempt to undermine their influence and effectiveness in supporting President Tinubu’s reelection bid.

“The plan to target high-performing ministers and cabinet officials who have been instrumental in securing victory for President Tinubu in future elections is a deeply troubling revelation,” said Sulaiman.

The achievements of these officials in their respective ministries have been cited as potential threats to the opposition’s efforts to undermine President Tinubu’s reelection prospects.
