Nobert Young, others set to dazzle as Dear Diary berths


A new 30-minute urban family sitcom, Dear Diary, is set to berth on African Independent Television (AIT). Created by Sola Fajobi, Dear Diary will air by 7.30pm on Tuesdays and Wednesdays starting from Tuesday, February 16.

Starring Norbert Young, Oby Olebara Uzuokwu, Ta­mara Eteimo, Bridget Chigbuefe , Tunde Bernard Baba Tee, MC Kirikiri and Rachel Oniga, Dear Diary is the story of a Nigerian, Kayode Kings, who left Nigeria to acquire higher education in the US and eventually got married to Helen, his London girlfriend. Kay finally returns home to serve the motherland when his Kinsman, a gubernatorial candidate is sworn in as State governor and Kay gets a political appointment.

However, two years into His Excellency’s tenure, he becomes critically ill and dies and when another governor is installed, there is a ‘cabinet tsunami’ which culminates in many appointees losing their jobs including Kay, and then the suspense filled sitcom begins to unfold.
