Ndigbo in Lagos State has congratulated the winner of the 2023 Presidential Election, the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

The Igbo in the state under various communities groups and political groups, including Ndigbo in APC, Lagos State chapter, from the 20 Local Government Areas (LGAs) and the 37 Local Council Development Areas (LCDAs) of the state,  at a press conference held on Wednesday , described Tinubu’s victory as well deserved victory.

Speaking on behalf of the group, its apex leader and  Special Adviser to Lagos State governor on Drainage and Water Resources, Joe Igbokwe  charged Ndigbo across the country to build bridge across Niger, join mainstream politicians to actualise their dream in politic.

He called for support for President elect, Tinubu and his party in the forthcoming gubernorship poll which will hold on March 11.

Igbokwe pleaded with Ndigbo in the state , to vote massively for Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu who is seeking for relection .

According to him, the governor deserved second term, is track record and achievements in office making the best man for job, and he must continue the good work.

“There is need for Ndigbo in Lagos to join the mainstream politic, joining mainstream politic has many benefits for us. We have support our son, Peter Obi at the Saturday poll and he came third, he won area that people don’t believe he would won. But now, let give Tinubu support to secure his own base on March 11, by voting for his party and candidate, Sanwo-Olu. Tinubu has done so much for Igbo in Lagos and this time to reciprocate his kind gesture to us by voting massively for APC”, he said. 

Igbokwe charged his kinsmen not allow anybody or party to deceive them, noting that the state is a state for learner to experiment with .
