Nigerian Christian Pilgrim Commission (NCPC), has signed a contractual agreement with an air carrier and ground handlers for the airlift and ground handling operations for the 2024 Christian Pilgrimage exercise.

NCPC spokesman, Celestine Toruka, in a statement, on Thursday, indicated that the signing ceremony took place at the Commission’s headquarters in Abuja, and was witnessed by the representatives of approved Air Carrier and Ground Handlers.

He disclosed that seven service providers participated in the signing of the agreement, including one Air Carrier and six Ground Handlers.

Meanwhile, the Executive Secretary, NCPC, Bishop Stephen Adegbite, who signed the agreement on behalf of the Commission, described the exercise as an epoch-making event that coincided with the one-year anniversary of President Bola Tinubu’s administration.

He emphasized the importance of fairness, respect, and dignity in the Commission’s relationships with its service providers.

The Executive Secretary reiterated the Commission’s commitment to transparency and adherence to procurement procedures, ensuring a wonderful relationship with stakeholders.

He highlighted the Commission’s new Corporate Slogan, “Service and Satisfaction,” which prioritizes satisfaction for all parties involved.

Chairman of NCPC Board, Rev. Cletus Gotan, in his remarks, thanked President Bola Tinubu for the confidence reposed in the board and commended the Executive Secretary for his efforts in ensuring transparency and integrity.

He emphasized that it would no longer be business as usual, as the Commission is committed to doing things right.
