Zamfara state chapter of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) has described the recent adoption N22,500 as the new minimum wage by the Nigerian Governors Forum (NGF) as wasted venture as the union does not take orders from the NGF.

Zamfara state NLC position was made known by its Chairman, Comrade Bashir Mafara on Wednesday while inspecting the ongoing rehabilitation work of the NUJ Press Centre, Gusau.

Mafara said the union remains committed to follow the directives of its national headquarters which has mandated a nationwide strike to commence on next Tuesday.
