Dr Aminu Jauro Hassan, the Taraba State Chairman of Association of Local Government of Nigeria ALGON and Chairman of Jalingo Local government area has described his emergence as the National Welfare officer of the Association as a victory for Taraba State and the North East region as a whole.

Hassan who is elected at the ongoing National Executive Council (NEC) meeting of ALGON holden at the Intercontinental Hotel (Sheraton) Abuja, as the new National ALGON Welfare Officer told journalists that the confidence reposed in him will not be taken for granted.

“I want to appreciate all who had such confidence in me to support my election to this national position which underscores my dedication, profound commitment, and outstanding leadership acumen, my proven integrity and service within the organization.

“Let me say that I do not take this for granted. It will inspire me to work even more for the good people of Jalingo Local government area, ALGON in Taraba, North East and indeed the nation at large.

“It is a very good thing that the whole team is absolutely formidable and I am confident that we can work harmoniously for the good of the association in Nigeria and for the good of Nigerians. Nigeria is going through a transformative phase and we can not feign ignorance to the hardship our people are facing. And so it is important to use every available opportunity to push for the good of our people at the grassroots who are usually the worst hit” Hassan said.

Our Correspondent reports that Hassan was elected alongside Hon.Newman Ugiagbe as National Organizing Secretary – South South, (Edo State), Hon. Adamu Bukar, National Auditor, Northeast, (Yobe), Hon. Bala Usman Chamo National Publicity Secretary- Northwest (Jigawa state), Hon.Emilla Gazal Babatunde, National Treasurer, Southwest (Ogun state), Hon.(Dr.) Moses O. Nomeh, Deputy National President, Southeast (Ebonyi), and Hon.Aminu Mu’azu Maifata, National President, North central (Nasarawa).
