The Chairman of MTN Nigeria Communications ,Mr. Ernest Ndukwe has been announced as the Chairman of  Federal University of Technology, Owerri (FUTO),2023 biennial alumni lecture which holds on October 19,2023 in Lagos.

Ndukwe is to be supported by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor of FUTO, Prof. Emeka Oguzie, who will be delving into the topic, “Harnessing Technological Innovations for Sustainable Development in Nigeria.”

A statement signed on behalf of the alumni association by Ikukundu Anyanwu and  Deus Osuji, said the subject is timely given the advancements in technology that have the potential to address pressing challenges in society, economy, and the environment.

The event, according to the organisers will bring together experts from various sectors to discuss strategies for personal and national advancement. Other key contributors include the former MD of Shell Gas Nigeria, Mr. ED Ubong, Vice-Chancellor of FUTO, Prof. Nnenna Oti, and the alumni national president, Prof. Lazarus Uzoechi.

The lecture will also feature a panel discussion anchored by Chairman AEO Foundation, Augustine Okeke and comprising experts like Head of Business at WIOCC Nigeria, Mr. Slawomir Cieslinski, GMD of Telnet Nigeria Ltd, Mr. Folorunso Aliu, Executive Director of Business Services at NNPC, Mrs. Martina Atuchi, Director data management services NIMASA, Chris Amakulo.

The biennial lecture, now in its 7th edition, with the theme, “Nigeria’s Quest for Development: The Technological Fast Tracking” has a history of tackling significant national challenges.

This year’s gathering promises to be an enlightening experience, offering participants the opportunity to exchange ideas, gain valuable insights, and connect with industry leaders.
