As encomiums continue to pour in for national leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, hundreds of people, on the platform of The Mandate Group of the party, gathered in Lagos to offer prayers for the foremost politician.

The group, under the leadership of, Alhaji Ganiyu Abayomi Badmus, converged at the Excellence Hotel,  Ogba, Ikeja, to renew their loyalty to the leadership of Tinubu and also to celebrate their political icon.

Speaking with reporters at the event, Alhaji Badmus said the prayer was their spiritual contribution towards the 65th birthday celebration of their mentor and political leader.

Badmus also used the occasion to appeal to all Lagosians to join hands with Tinubu and Governor Akinwunmi Ambode to continue to move the state to enviable heights.

Said he, “It should be clear to doubting Thiomasses that this man called Bola Tinubu is a God-sent to liberate His children from the bgondage of poverty, bad leadership and political isolation.

Speaking at the event, a former Head of Service in the state, Hon. Sunny Ajose, described perceived disloyalty by some members of the party as normal in a political setting, but urged members to remain committed to the ideals of Tinubu.

According to Ajose, “We thank God that He gave us Tinubu at this time in the nation’s history. The APC is currently experiencing pool of expansion and what you call dissenting voices may be expected. As a party, we remain one, strong and united and indissoluble under Tinubu.”

Also, state secretary of The Mandate Group, Otunba Olasunkanmi Tijani said that the need to celebrate Tinubu could not be overemphasised because of his achievements in all areas of human endeavours.

“You cannot speak of politics in Nigeria today without special mention of Bola Tinubu. His achievemnents at a senator, governor and national party leader can not be matched by anyone in Nigeria today. So, the party will continue to benefit from his wisdom and leadership and we shall continue to wax stronger,” Tijani said.

Present at the event included, Special Adviser to Governor Ambode on Environment, Babatunde Hunpe; Lagos State Commissioner for Environment, Babatunde Adejare; Special Adviser on Commerce, Adeyemi Olabinjo and ex-Rep, Mrs. Jumoke Okoya-Thomas, among other eminent personalities.
