The Lagos Chamber of Commerce and industry (LCCI), in partnership with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, is set to host a business conference between August 27 and 28.

According to the LCCI, the conference tagged: “Invest Nigeria” will hold in Lagos and its key goal is to introduce 15 unicorn companies to the Nigeria, sign landmark agreement between Nigeria and other nations and enable the existence of 1,500 new businesses across Africa.

Highlights of the event will include business forum headlined by the presidency, heads of government, state governments, members of the diplomatic corps, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Investment and leaders of the organised private sector. There would be a governor’s session before the keynote address, where five state governors will speak to the audience on investment oppourtunities in their states and the available incentives.

Other programmes scheduled to hold are 10 business to business (B2B) sessions on oil and gas, manufacturing, agriculture, fintech, textile and creative arts.

“There would be six government to government meetings between representatives of the Nigerian government and representatives of other governments. There would also be expo section with delegates and exhibitors from at least 50 different countries,” LCCI said.
