Members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) South South Forum, Lagos, have been urged to maintain unity and togetherness in order to be accorded “their rightful positions in the political scheme of things.” Its chairman, Chief Anthony Ekpelu, made the remark during the South South Day in Amuwo Odofin, Lagos.

He said the gathering was to sensitise and mobilise on the need to win their polling units for all PDP candidates in the state and the presidency: “They should return the current member of house of Representatives, Oghene Emmanuel Egoh, vote our gubernatorial candidate, Dr Abdul Azeez Adediran and other candidates to victory, considering our numerical strength in the local government and the state as a whole.”

Prince Edede, progenitor of the forum, also told them to support all PDP candidates through their votes.

Chairman of the forum in Amuwo Odofin LGA, Michael Engbi and chairman of the planning committee, Chief S.O.U Ukpe, said the event was to review their activities: “The nation’s political calculus has changed.

There is need for us to redouble efforts to achieve victory. That is the reason for Operation Win Your Polling Unit.”
