Paramount ruler of Ladaba Kingdom in Lagos State, Oba Nureni Sikiru Odedina Alugbin, has lauded the Aareonakakanfo of Yoruba land, Iba Gani Abiodun Adams over his contribution to the progress of Yoruba culture.

He said the Yoruba generalissimo has been playing a great role in the development of culture and tradition of the race, and cannot be ignored by unfounded sentiments.

Oba Alugbin made the disclosure in Lagos when he visited Iba Adams at his Omole Phase 2 residence as the Yoruba generallissimo prepares for the sixth anniversary of his installation as Aare Onkakanfo tomorrow Sunday, January 21

The Ladaba monarch stated that the stool of the Aareonakakanfo of Yoruba land is so sacred, adding that Aare Adams had succeeded in matching his words with actions, with numbers of laudable and enduring achievements in the last six years of his reign.

“I want to appreciate God for the gift of life. I am at the palace of the Aareonakakanfo of Yoruba land, Iba Gani Abiodun Ige Adams on a courtesy visit as preparations for the sixth anniversary of his reign is in top gear.

“In Yoruba land today, Aare Gani Adams has been a bridge-builder and a great phenomenon that has been bridging the gap between the social institution and the traditional institution.

“Since his installation as the 15th Aareonakakanfo of Yoruba land, Iba Gani Adams has carved a niche for himself, raising the bar of leadership and that of the traditional institution.

“By the special grace of God, we shall be celebrating his sixth anniversary tomorrow Sunday, January 21 and I am using this opportunity to appreciate him for standing by all Yoruba obas in promoting the cultural identity of our race and also sustaining the core values of the race.

“Going forward, I am very sure that the Yoruba generallissimo has a lot more to offer Yorubaland in projecting the ideals of the race,” he stated.
