…As Ganduje describes polls as peaceful

Presidential candidate of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, has expressed confidence of victory in the polls held yesterday.

He spoke shortly after casting his vote, alongside his wife, Salamatu Kwankwaso, at Kwankwaso Malamai ward, Tandu 1 005 in Kwankwaso town in Madobi Local Government Area of Kano State.

Kwankwaso is contesting against Atiku Abubakar, Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Peter Obi, candidates of the People Democratic Party (PDP), All Progressives Congress (APC) and the Labour Party, respectively.

Meanwhile, Kano State Governor, Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, has described the elections in the state as peaceful.

Speaking after casting his vote at his ward in Ganduje Town in Dawakin Tofa Local Government Area of the state, he expressed delight at the turnout of voters for the exercise and urged them to exercise their civic duty in a peaceful manner.

Ganduje, who voted alongside his son, Abba, however observed that his accreditation process was a bit slower. He expressed hope that the speed of the device would get better going forward.
