Nigerian afrobeat sensation and serial hitmaker Kizz Daniel has again made another significant entry into the book of records as one of his latest trending musical renditions, “Showa,” becomes the number 1 song on Apple Music’s Nigerian Top 100 songs.

Showa,” which was released alongside three other songs in his most recent extended play (EP), “TZA,” clinched the highly sought-after number one position on Apple Music’s chart for Top 100 Nigerian songs, staying ahead of South African singer Titom and Yuppe’s “Tshwala Bam,” featuring S.N.E. and EeQue; and Tony Montana by Skepta and Portable, coming in second and third, respectively, on the music chart.

Kizz Daniel’s new EP, TZA, is an acronym for “Thanks a Lot” and serves as an expression of gratitude to his fans for their unwavering support as he marks his tenth year as a professional artist in the music industry.

Songs included in the EP are “Showa,” “Sooner,” and his previously released hit singles “Twe Twe” and “Too Busy to Be Bae,” which had already established themselves as fan favorites. The EP has likewise performed well across a host of other digital streaming platforms in the country and beyond, thereby hinting at the magnitude of love and acceptability the singer enjoys from fans.

Indeed, both “Showa” and “Sooner” are expected to perform well on the charts. This is because, upon the release of the songs and his EP, which followed suit, the singer broke the mystery and unveiled his wife, who had been undercover for years, to the public. While many consider it a promotional strategy, especially in a digital world that favors algorithms, many others are happy for the music icon and his family, which he takes great pride in.
