Governor Nasir Idris of Kebbi State has commended contractors handling various projects in the state capital, Birnin Kebbi, for their commitment to quality work.

The Governor made the commendation during a visit to key project sites, including the Birnin Kebbi Central Modern Motorpark, the Ultra-Modern State Secretariat complex at Gwadangwaji, ongoing road construction projects, and facilities at the Sir Ahmadu Bello International Airport.

Governor Idris praised the contractors for their diligence and dedication to high standards, particularly the site engineers. He emphasized the importance of quality over speed, stating, “Don’t rush the work, make sure you do a quality job that can last for many years. You have impressed me, and I promised to support our indigenous contractors.”

Contractors working on the Ultramodern Secretariat at Gwadangwaji, Eng. Manir Jega and Abubakar Zubairu, expressed their appreciation for the Governor’s trust and confidence in their companies’ ability to deliver quality work. They assured him that they would meet the contractual agreements in terms of both time and quality.

The Governor was accompanied on the visit by former Governor Alhaji Saidu Usman Nasamu Dakingari, Secretary to the State Government (SSG) Alhaji Yakubu Bala-Tafida, Head of Service Alhaji Safiyanu Garba-Bena, State APC Chairman Alhaji Abubakar Kana-Zuru, Commissioner for Agriculture Alhaji Shehu Muazu, Commissioner for Mines and Solid Minerals Alhaji Haliru Muhammad-Wasagu, Permanent Secretaries, and other politicians.
