Nigeria Police Force, Katsina State Command in the northern part of the country, say it has arrested three persons in connection with the killing of two officers of the Nigeria Customs Service on Sunday night.
The officers identified as ASC Babandi Nurudeen and CSC Maidamma Yabo, were shot dead at Dogon Hawa Shargele in Dutsi local government area, along Daura -Katsina road, while they were on patrol duty.
The Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Gambo Isah, who confirmed the arrest of the suspects noted that a Deputy Commissioner of Police has been deployed to the Daura zone over the incident.
He said a police patrol was mobilized to the scene of the shooting where three motorcycles and a military belt were recovered from the suspects.
