The Kano State New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) has raised over N500 million for the forthcoming gubernatorial and presidential elections in the state.
A statement by the party’s Chief Spokesperson, Sanusi Bature said the sum, for campaigns and other related logistics, said the money was raised at a fundraising dinner organised by the party in the state
The Chairman, NNPP Kano 2023 Fundraising Committee, Sulaiman Abdulrahman Kawu Sumaila, expressed delight at the massive support from the people, saying the foundation indicated that the people were tired of both the APC and the PDP in the state.
The NNPP gubernatorial candidate in the state, Abba K Yusuf stated that the overwhelming support he enjoys in the state was a testimony that Kano State was in need of a new crop of leadership at the state and national levels.
Abba affirmed his commitment to pilot an inclusive goverment where every member of the state would have the opportunity to enjoy the best practices of good governance.
The NNPP presidential candidate Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, in his keynote address, said Nigeria was at the crossroad but noted that the voters were getting wiser by the day and would vote out the APC and PDP.
