Endorses Uba Sani for Governor

A group under the auspices of Almagamation of Deregistered Political Parties in Nigeria (ADPPN) has blamed opposition political parties in Kaduna State for the coinage; Muslim Muslim ticket, saying that the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Uba Sani, picked a woman, Hadiza Balarabe as his running mate in order to give women a sense of belonging, but coincidentally, she is a Muslim which the oppositions have decided to make issues out of it.
Addressing a press conference on Tuesday at the Secretariat of Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Kaduna State council, the chairman of the group, Mohammed Sani Ahmed, in the company of the Secretary, Matoh Hyugene Yakubu added that the appointment of a woman as a running mate was to give voice to women in the State who had been kept at the background of politics for too long.
The group noted that the combination of Uba Sani and Hadiza Balarabe is to achieve gender balance in the political scene in the State, adding that the striking balance is a strategy that is giving the opposition nightmare.
“We the forum of Amalgamation of deregistered political parties, where sixty (60) party chairmen and their Excos that were deregistered after the 2019 general elections are here today to raise critical salient issues relating to the forthcoming Governorship elections in Kaduna State come March 18th 2023 in relation to the candidature of the All-Progressive Congress (APC) stand bearer Senator Dr Uba Sani.
“However, we are disturbed by the negative signals coming from some political parties who have decided to create a political gimmick they called “Muslim-Muslim” ticket- this phrase is a coinage of the opposition in Kaduna state, the APC only gave voice to our women who have been kept in the backyard for long; and for the last 4 years, the performance of Kaduna State women in governance is clear for everyone to see.
“We state clearly that the combination of Senator Uba Sani and Dr Hadiza Sabuwa, Balarabe, is a strategic strike at the political balancing act. This political brinkmanship is giving the opposition a nightmare because the strategy has provided Kaduna State with unprecedented development strides in the annals of the history of Kaduna State.
“Uba Sani towers head and shoulders above all the other candidates for the Governorship of Kaduna State and we challenge them to show what they have done.
“We the Amalgamation of deregistered Political Parties Kaduna State chapter, on behalf of our teeming membership in the 23 LGAs, wards and communities, on this 14th day of March 2023, do hereby declare that we wholeheartedly endorse the candidature of Senator Dr Uba Sani of the All-Progressive Congress (APC) as the preferred choice for the Governor of Kaduna State in the election slated for
March 18th 2023.
“This endorsement comes with our full support to deploy our team to serve as canvassers, street captains, gate-keepers and anti-rigging squad to help ensure that the APC and Dr Uba Sani emerge victorious in the Governorship election 2023 because he is the man for the job.
“We have, before arriving at this juncture, consulted widely with our members and network of stakeholders and opinion leaders; we appraised them of the clear record of achievement of distinguished Senator Dr Uba Sani a civil society activist, a crusader for social justice, an award-winning (ICPC certified) anti-
corruption crusader and a high-performing Senator of the federal republic of Nigeria. These wide-ranging consultations provided us with the mandate to make the declaration of support in this press conference,” the group said.
