Babajide Sanwo-Olu, the Governor of Lagos State, has been elected as Chairman of the South West Governors’ Forum.

Sanwo-Olu was chosen Chairman during their Zonal meeting in Lagos State on Monday.

According to reports, Sanwo-Olu was overwhelmingly chosen by the six governors of South West Nigeria.

The meeting was attended by Governors Lucky Aiyedatiwa (Ondo), Dapo Abiodun (Ogun), Seyi Makinde (Oyo), Ademola Adeleke (Osun), and Biodun Oyebanji (Ekiti).

Rotimi Akeredolu, the former Ondo State Governor who died a few months ago, was the forum’s last chairman.
