Apostle Israel Oyelade, founder of Oasis of Breakthrough International Church Inc., has issued a stern warning to political and economic leaders who have plundered public resources and exacerbated Nigeria’s economic hardship. He cautioned them that judgment day awaits their actions.

Speaking at the church’s headquarters in Ifo, Ogun State, during a Free Feeding Project, Apostle Oyelade urged Nigerians with means to assist the poor as the economic situation worsens. He emphasized that helping the less fortunate is a core principle of the gospel, as God commands his followers to love one another.

“We started giving to the poor in 2010 with N100,” he said. “Today, we spend hundreds of millions to help the poor through food items, clothing, education sponsorship, free medical services, and providing electricity and water.”

Apostle Oyelade, also president of Jesus Commando, a network of pastors in the United States, admonished leaders to stop their extravagant lifestyles and mismanagement of public resources while citizens struggle with hunger. He stressed that citizens hold the key to liberating Nigeria from poor leadership and administrative inefficiency.

He encouraged the federal government to improve infrastructure to support the agricultural sector and urged fellow clergymen with leadership capabilities to consider entering politics. He believes Nigerians are seeking individuals with the necessary skills to deliver the country from mismanagement and bad governance.

“There is nothing wrong with men of God engaging in politics,” he stated. “What matters is who can offer sound leadership, management, and administration.”

Apostle Oyelade vowed to continue supporting the underprivileged as long as God enables him. He also urged Nigerian youth not to rely solely on the government but to seek self-reliance through empowerment.

“We also help the poor in the United States,” he added. “Mrs. Joyce Oyelade and her team manage the operations and distribution, while we provide support. We are resolute, believing that God is our source, resource, and sustenance. We will not give up,” he assured.
