Ahead of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential primary, one of the aspirants for the presidency under the party, Sen. David Mark, has said he has all it takes to make Nigeria a great and prosperous nation.

Sen. Mark said Nigeria was passing through a hard time and needed somebody like him who is well grounded to turn the economy around.

He also he was not desperate to become the next PDP candidate but stated that whether by consensus or delegate election, free, fair, credible and transparent process must not be compromised.

Addressing PDP faithful, in Lokoja, the Kogi State capital, on Tuesday, as part of his consultation to clinch the PDP ticket, Sen. Mark added that whichever process chosen by the party to elect its flagbearer, the will of the people must prevail.

He said he welcomes innovation but such must be anchored on the general interest of the people.

“I am contesting the presidential election because I can make a Positive difference for the good of the nation,” he said.

The presidential hopeful said he has designed an economic blue print that would turn around the Nation’s ailing economy within two years of his administration if elected.

His proposed economic model he termed Project 730 would be anchored by young professionals selected from all parts of the country.

“I have something to offer . My programme would be premised on our unity, stability and prosperity of our nation. My word is my bond”, he stated.

State chairman of the PDP, Dr. Sam Uhuotu said Sen. Mark has a rich credential that qualifies him to be elected president of Nigeria.

Uhuotu, therefore, called on delegates to choose wisely in the forthcoming party primary.
