The Indigenous People of Biafra has registered its grievances over what it describes as unfair treatment of its members in the country.

IPOB in a statement by its spokesperson, Emma Powerful had alleged that other social organisations and agitators were being justly treated but regretted that the group has suffered so much including killing and maiming of its members.

He recalled that over one hundred and fifty of its members who were protesting the release of its leader,Nnamdi Kanu at Aba,Abia State were still missing after their peaceful protest he alleged were disrupted by the security agents.

He said “We, the global family and movement of the Indigenous People of Biafra under the command and leadership of the great liberator, Mazi Nnamdi Okwuchukwu Kanu are astonished about the unfair treatment of IPOB members in Nigeria.

“We are suprise that the Nigeria government and its security agencies especially their army and police allowed the Shiite Islamic group who protested peacefully twice in Abuja to do so without humiliation or attack, but murdered IPOB members who were protesting peacefully in Aba, Abia State for asking for the unconditional release of their leader Mazi Nnamdi Kanu on the 3rd of April 2023. Powerful said.

He added “It is now on record that Ndigbo are not wanted in Nigeria due to the hatred shown to us.
