THE Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) has accused the governors of South-East, South-South and the politicians in the geopolitical zones of complicity over the attacks and killings of innocent people by Fulani herdsmen.
The group said the governors and the politicians in the zones used the lives of their subjects to play politics and refused to act even when they got the information of the attack on time.
In a statement by the Media and Publicity Secretary of IPOB, Mr. Emma Powerful said, “if not so, why would they not summon an emergency meeting to deliberate the impending dangers? They didn’t do that because they were used by their counterparts in the north against their people.
“Now, the Hausa/Fulani Boko Haram terrorist group are killing, raping our women and girls, destroying our farmland and kidnapping our people with impunity on daily basis while disguising as Fulani herdsmen and cattle rearers, nobody is saying anything because we are Biafrans. The DSS will never come up with their concocted intelligence report again. So, let the world hear it now.
“We are totally disappointed in the governors and politicians of this land for not knowing the meaning of chief security officer of the state and their limit. The governor of Enugu State, Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi gave Awgu community eight million naira (N8m) when they were attacked by the Hausa/Fulani Boko Haram terrorist group. They were remanded by their brothers in the army and police custody in Umuahia prison. Now it is the killing of the Uzo Uwani people, you declared two days fasting and prayers and dished out another five million naira (N5m) for your dead brothers in Uzo Uwani of Enugu State. Now it is in Umuchigbo Abakpa Nike, you are going to declare one week fasting and prayers and dish out another N10million to them for the burial. What a shame, Ugwuanyi?” He lamented.
“Biafrans, our destiny changes with our thought, we shall become what we wish to be, no matter the level of betrayal. The governors and politicians are sabotaging every effort we make. In line with this, posterity will never forgive those who sabotage the struggle and Biafran restoration. We have no other place except Biafra”
“All these happenings, prove the leader of the indigenous people of Biafra, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu the prophet and visionary of our time because all his prophecies have come to pass.”
“The Christians in this country, are you still waiting for total islamization before you do something? This is the time we take our destiny in our hands before what happened to the Christians in North Africa and Turkey happen to you,” Powerful warned.
