The Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) has pledged its support to reposition the Nigerian capital market to contribute significantly to the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Tinubu.

The President of the Institute, Sarah Ghosh made this commitment in a congratulatory message to the Director-General designate of the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), Emomotimi Agama.

According to her, the relevance of collaboration in driving the market cannot be over-emphasized. She hailed Agama’s appointment saying, “His achievement is the result of his passion and relentless commitment to the Nigerian economy, as well as the finance and accounting profession on the African continent.”

This is even as she pledged the commitment of the Institute to supporting Agama in his administration as DG.

Special Adviser to the President (Media & Publicity), Ajuri Ngelale, announced the appointment of new members of the SEC Board. Mairiga Aliyu Katuka, as Chairman; Mr. Emomotimi Agama, Director-General; Frana Chukwuogor, Executive Commissioner (Legal and Enforcement); Mr. Bola Ajomale, Executive Commissioner (Operations); Mrs. Samiya Hassan Usman, Executive Commissioner (Corporate Services); Mr. Lekan Belo, Non-Executive Commissioner; and Mr. Kasimu Garba Kurfi, Non-Executive Commissioner.
