The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has presented the certificate of return for the governorship elections to the Governor-elect of Kano State, Abba Kabir Yusuf.
The ceremony, which was performed Wednesday, amid tight security in many parts of the state capital, took place at the hajj- camp headquarters of the Commission in the state
The Governor-elect, accompanied by his running mate, Aminu Abdulsalam, other party chieftains and supporters, promised to rededicate himself to the service of the state, saying that he would submit himself to the upliftment of the welfare of the people of the state.
He also pleaded to adopt a people-oriented democracy t while adding that he would focus on peace and security in the state
He also pledged to address the nagging problem of water supply in the state, including ensuring that education is prioritized in the next four years in the state.
He assured that none of his family members would interfere in the running of the affairs of the state as that would be a disservice to the people of the state.
He, again, thanked the people of the state for entrusting their mandate to him and his running mate, Aminu Abdulsalam.
