…says party beyond redemption

Imo youths under the aegis of the Global Association of Concerned Imo Youths (GACIY) has descended on the Peoples Democratic Party(PDP) over its recent utterance claiming that governor Hope Uzodimma is plotting to monetarily entice voters ahead of the February, 25 elections.

However, reacting to their claim, the youths in a statement at the weekend in Owerri by the its President,Collins Ughala maitained rather that PDP has wasted its opoportunities granted to make impact in the State in the last sixteen years.

According to Ughala,PDP is only raising their alarm ahead of their possible dedeat in the forthcoming election by the All Progresives Congress(APC).

He said “This is another lamentation from the minority People’s Democratic Party over the forthcoming general elections. The party on Friday, February 3, accused Governor Hope Uzodimma and the All Progressives Congress (APC) of plotting to rig the elections through a massive vote buying scheme.

“This is not the first time the PDP would be levelling false allegations against Governor Hope Uzodimma, but this latest allegation removes any shred of doubts that the PDP is heading for a crushing defeat at the polls.

“The PDP is known for all kimds of mischief and now wants to save face for what is going to happen to them at the polls, yet they can’t do it decently. The APC will put them in their place, no doubt. Having made all the noise and false claims, the PDP now smells defeat. They are unable to explain it, so they resort to preparing the grounds to plunge Imo into a deeper crisis by making unguarded, inciting statements.

“All Nigerians and Imo people in particular can now see what we have been saying about the PDP, that it has become a deadwood. We actually thought that the PDP could be redeemed. We did not know the party was beyond redemption. We give up on Imo PDP. May the soul of the PDP departed rest in peaceful”. Ughala stated.
