…tells him call Uzodimma to order

The Gubernatorial candidate of the Labour Party in the 11November governorship polls, Senator Athan Achonu has called on President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to urgently intervene and arrest the spate of killings in the state ahead of the governorship polls .
He pleaded with President Tinubu to quickly set up a panel of inquire to unravel the recent killings and bombing of many villages in the Imo North senatorial district where many people including soldiers were killed.He lamented that Izombe and Oguta had become no go areas as a result of insecurity stating that the unhealthy trend if left unchecked might provoke apathy in the forthcoming guber poll.
LP Gubernatorial candidate noted that the strange development which has claimed many lives and properties could have been averted if the Uzodimma-led administration was serious and sincere in its promise to provide security for the people.
Achonu stated this weekend while reacting to the increasing security challenges in the state during which he advised all residents of the state to hold the state government responsible for their predicament.
“The Governor is the one threatened to bomb a community in Njaba if they didn’t move in this 21st Century and ever since that threat many communities in the state have been bombed and the press should go and investigate this to save this country which is now in a mess. I have tried to rebuild the burnt police station in Ehime Mbano but the state government never showed any interest . I have also repaired some APCs wity personal resources for the police but none these APCs are seen any where in Okigwe which is meant to assist the police in their jobs . People should ask the governor where were those APCS taken to ? ”
But in a swift reaction to the statement, the Special Assistant to Governor Hope Uzodimma on Print Media, Mr. Modestus Nwamkpa said that the LP Governorship candidate Sen Athan Achonu has case to answer and to explain to Imo people on why insecurity has persisted in the State
He said that in less than 24hours after the recent attack that resulted in killing of Soldiers, Achonu appeared in the same spot the incident occurred without security claiming that he bought the land there to build police post
He said: “He has one or two things to explain to Imolites concerning the attack”
The Governor’s appointee said that Sen. Achonu accusing Governor Uzodimma is like pointing 4 fingers while one is pointing at him
While he said that Governor Uzodimma cannot destroy a house he built, Nwampka blamed those he said want to take power from the Governor such as Athan as those instigating insecurity in the state
