The Kebbi State Governor, Dr Nasir Idris, has said that he is not regretting the appointment of Alhaji Faruku Aliyu-Enabo as the Chairman, Kebbi State Pilgrims Welfare Board in view of the talents he is displaying.

The Governor disclosed this when he received Sheik Muhammad Bin Usman, the Commissioner in-charge of Northwest of the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON), who paid him a courtesy visit at Government House, Birnin Kebbi .

He said: “I am not regretting the appointment of Alhaji Faruku Aliyu-Enabo as the Chairman of Kebbi State Pilgrims Welfare Board, his appointment was based on merit, including all his board members.

“It will not be out of place to commend his hard work, I am satisfied with what he is doing to transform the board and also take it to next level of development.

“I appointed him because he has the capacity of not only doing the job but doing it in best manner.”

The Governor assured the readiness of Kebbi State to successfully flag-off the 2024 airlift of intending pilgrims from Sir Ahmadu Bello International Airport, Birnin Kebbi as all arrangement had been concluded.

Earlier, the visitor, Bin Usman told the Governor that he was in Kebbi to introduce himself to the Governor and to ascertain the level of preparation for the flag off of the exercise on May 15.

Bin Usman commended both the governor and the chairman of the board for a job well-done, adding that based on what he saw on ground, Kebbi State deserved to host the flag-of of 2024 Hajj exercise.
