A former Governor Ahmed Makarfi of Kaduna State has reaffirmed his confidence of clinching the presidential ticket of People’s Democratic Party (PDP) at forthcoming primary election.
Markarfi, a former interim national chairman of the party stated this when he paid visit to the headquarters of the party, in Sokoto, on Saturday.
He described his visit to the state as a family visit and not for campaign. The aspirant also noted that Sokoto remain a home to him and assured of the delegates’ votes for his candidature.
He urged the party delegates in the state to consider him as their favorite candidate, saying that he has what it takes to deliver the party at the presidential general election.
The PDP Presidential aspirant also described the former governor of the state, Alhaji Attairu Dalhathu Bafarawa, who is also seeking the ticket of the party for the president as a close friend, while he related to the current governor of the state as a junior brother.

He maintained his confidence that his party would form the government at the centre come 2019.
Earlier the party chairman in the state, Alhaji Ibrahim Milgoma, assured the aspirant that the state delegates would support the right candidates.
