An All Progressives Congress  (APC), aspirant, Dr. Makanjuola Akindele Owolabi, has vowed to restore Ekiti dignity, if elected as the governor of the state in the forthcoming 2018 governorship election.

Owolabi made the remark during a courtesy visit to the APC State  Secretariat, in Ajilosun, Ado-Ekiti.

Owolabi, who met with the party chieftains during the visit, said he was there to declare his intention for the governorship seat in the state and  also seek for the support of all the party members in the state.

The meeting had in attendance, the state deputy chairman of the party, Chief Mrs. Kemisola Olaleye, state Publicity Secretary, Taiwo Olatunbosun, the APC chairmen of all the senatorial districts in the state, APC State woman leader, Mrs. Dupe Bakare, wife of the aspirant, Mrs. Edna Owolabi, representatives from the monarch of Aisegba-Ekiti and the party representatives from the 16 local government areas of the state.

Dr Owolabi who hailed from  Aisegba-Ekiti is an Aviation Consultant and the facilitator of Aerospace Medicine in Africa.

Owolabi promised to come out with unique change in the state, saying his plan to redeem Ekiti brought about the slogan ‘Ekiti Restoration Agenda ‘ (ERA).

APC deputy chairman, Chief Kemisola Olaleye, who stood in for the chairman, High Chief Jide Ade, said that Owolabi remains one of the best materials out of the contestants so far.

While describing APC as ‘the root of democracy,’  Chief Olaleye  “implores the aspirant to fulfill his campaign promises when he gets to the position,” saying” impartiality which has always been the APC watchword brings out neutrality of the party’s chieftains to all contestants in the race.
