A two-time gubernatorial candidate and 2019 gubernatorial aspirant  in Ogun State, Gboyega Nasir Isiaka, otherwise known as GNI, has declared that he would embark on the completion of all uncompleted projects by the Governor Ibikunle Amsoun-led administration, if he wins the governorship election next year.

GNI gave the declaration on Wednesday while addressing members of The Believe Movement (TBM) in Abeokuta North Local Government.

Isiaka, who restated his commitment to the ideals of good governance, equally noted that government is a continuum and promised to act in the best interest of the good people of the state, rather than play vengeful politics.

He said Ogun State deserves the best in the area of development, pointing out “I will ensure that all unfinished projects initiated by the current administration in the state are completed when elected as governor”.

His words: “Government is a continuum. I can say emphatically that I will not abandon any ongoing projects by the current government. I would be doing the good people of this state a lot of disservice if I fail to complete this current government’s projects.

“Nobody can write off eight years in the life of a state, therefore, I must continue from where the present government will stop in 2019. I know the state very well and the good people of this state are more important than any personal interest. I am going to take a good look at how I can improve on the fortune of this state, without unnecessarily discrediting anyone.

“It makes a lot of sense not to allow any project rots away. Ogun State would have been developed more than this if we all have this spirit and restrain from playing politics with uncompleted  projects”.

Isiaka, however, assured his administration would not relegate women and the youths to the background, adding “it is important for both to be involved in the scheme of things to bring about meaningful development”.
