Commissioner of Police, Ebonyi State, Mrs Tina Ogbodo, has warned hoodlums to start relocating from the state. She appreciated the support of state government “in giving us operational vehicle to tackle the hoodlums”

She spoke during the recent IGP conference in Abuja: “Ebonyi State is peace and safe. The command is fighting criminals in their various hideouts. We deployed our tactical team to different schools and some communities to ensure safety of lives and properties.

“We don’t want to take chances. Again, we appreciate the support of the state government for assisting us with operational vehicle and other security agencies, including vigilance groups and hunters. We are working round 48 hours surveillance raiding bushes, forests to checkmate criminals.

“The command arrested 18 suspected armed robbers, kidnappers and recovered weapons along Abakaliki-Enugu Expressway. The command is up to the task and we won’t relent.

“Also, police arrested some suspected cultists involved in armed robbery in Abakaliki. Ebonyi is peaceful and safe now. We need the support of the public to fight the criminals. We need the support of members of the public to give us useful information to tackle the hoodlums.”
