Akinwunmi Michael aka Iko Light has revealed how he acquired his music talent.
According to the artiste, who debuted in the industry in 2003, music for him is a natural gift from God and not something he acquired through training.
In his words: “I have a unique passion for music, and I believe that music lives in me. That is what gave birth to the album I am working on at the moment.”
Speaking on the state of Nigerian music, Michael, who is in the process of producing an album, said, “I believe Nigeria is still the best in terms of music, and in this vibrant industry where talent thrives, I want to leave my mark. I also believe that as an up-and-coming musician, growth is a gradual process, just as an apprentice will eventually become a boss. I don’t feel threatened by anyone in the industry, rather, I see them as role models I would want to collaborate with someday.”
