Notorious kidnapper, Chukwudumeme George Onwuamadike a.k.a Evans, Wednesday morning, appeared in court to face series of charges levied against him.

Evans pleaded guilty to the two counts of conspiracy and kidnap.

Evans and five members of his gang arrived the court under heavy security. They were marched into the courtroom at 8. 56am to face Justice Akeem Oshodi of Court 18.

Evans’ lawyer, Mr. Kayode Ogungbeje, who has been representing him in his N300 million fundamental rights suit against the police was also in court.

His lawyer, earlier however, had said they have been denied access to him and that he may plead guilty under duress. Head of prosecution legal team is David Igbodo. He said more charges would follow between now and October 19 the adjourned date.

Six people were arraigned in court. One female and five males including Evans. Apart from Evans, Uche Amadi, Ogechi Uchechukwu, Okwuchukwu Nwachukwu. Chilaka  Ifeanyi and Victor Chukwunonso Abuba. Three pleaded not guilty, while three pleaded guilty. Crowd still waiting as the defendants meet with their lawyers.
