Nigerian United Kingdom actress, Patricia Michael-Menyei Odiatu, ecstatic for gaining recognition on the award winning movie, ‘Love Conquers’ produced by Florence Okonkwo, as Best Supporting Actress (Motion Picture) at the Hollywood and African Prestigious Awards (HAPA), which was held, in Los Angeles, USA.

Odiatu, who played the role of the chief bride’s maid in the movie was elated on her achievement, applauded the producer, Florence Okonkwo for the opportunity. Also, the organisers of the award for discovering her talent.

Her words: “I am absolutely ecstatic about the award. I thank God for the outstanding milestone. It shows that hard work pays. I appreciate the casts for the hard work, because without team work the award wouldn’t have been possible. My gratitude to Florence Okonkwo for the opportunity. Also, HAPA for honouring Africans “. she emphasised.

According to the producer of the flick ‘Love Conquers’, Florence Okonkwo, stunning queen of red carpet said “I will forever remain grateful to God for this milestone in our lives. As the producer of the movie, I won 6 nomination, but we won two awards; I won an award on Best Motion Picture Supporting Actress, while my cast won Best Supporting Actress (Motion Picture). I celebrate my cast for winning HAPA,” she concluded.

Odiatu who hails from Ogwashi-Uku, Delta State won the award for her skillful acting style, which distinguished her in the movie industry locally and internationally.

Speaking further on her career, amiable Odiatu said “I dedicate this award to God and everyone who helped me climb the ladder of success. I began my acting career in 2009 playing lead roles in church dramas and in 2014, I was discovered by Lancelot Odua a Nigerian prolific movie director, thus, debuted in his epic movie ‘Invasion 1897’.

“Since then I have featured in several commercial TV series and films in Nigeria & Uk namely ‘After the I Dos in 2014, directed by Samantha Iwowo, Oxford Gardens directed by Obi Emelonye in 2016. ‘Here & Now’ by Ruke Amata, ‘Housewives & Girlfriends’ by Rhoda Wilson, ‘The pastor’s Wife’ by Tiya UK, ‘House of Grace’ by Dolly Unachukwu, ‘Broken’ by Daniel Kalynga,  ‘Blood Type’, ‘The marriage’ is one of the recent movies I featured which will soon be released. Presently, I’m working on a TV series titled ‘Apostle Do Good’ playing the role of a salon owner,” she explained.
