The Nigerian Idol season 9 is getting hotter with each episode, as every live show witnesses the exit of a contestant and outstanding performances of others.

In a surprising turn of events, the last episode featured a double eviction of Gracia and David Garland, who had remarkable journeys and overcame numerous challenges to reach the Top 9. Both were eliminated after receiving the fewest votes from the previous week – a decision determined by the viewers.

The week’s theme: ‘Divas and Divos’ allowed contestants to honour music legends by performing their timeless songs. Chioma ignited the evening with a high-energy performance of Tina Turner’s Proud Mary, setting a vibrant tone for the show. The judges praised her significant growth and flawless vocal delivery.

Stevie followed suit with a classic rendition of Jackson 5’s Who’s Loving You, captivating both the live audience and viewers at home with his impressive vocal skills and stage presence.
