Following the hardship in the country, a London-based Zimbabwean philanthropist and entrepreneur, Mercy Gilbert, has mapped out strategies to empower indigent Nigerians.

Gilbert, who made the promise recently in London, said her goal in life was to change and impact lives in Africa through her charity for Women called, Mother maid Club and Alert Africa.

“My belief is that, if the world throws lemons at you, make a lemonade out of it. I am committed to assisting indigent Nigerians,” she stated.

Gilbert, who is also a prominent politician, explained that she was ready for collaboration globally. According to her, she enjoyed working with people from all parts of the world, be it young to adult and the less fortunate.

She stated that most of the countries in the world governed by women are among those that are thriving exceptionally.

She said: “Having worked in parliament under the MP shadowing scheme, I am one step closer to achieving my dream to become an MP.”

According to her profile, she was born in Zimbabwe and then moved to the United Kingdom at the age of 6, and thereafter, was adopted by a Jewish man. She is now a mother to five children known as Child Prodigies, schooling in top schools globally.
