Unidentified gunmen have abducted 10 persons in Rivers State.

Daily Sun gathered that the victims were abducted, on Wednesday evening, by the gunmen in Akuku Toru Local Government Area of the state.

Details of the kidnap incident was sketchy as at the time of filing the report.

But further information gathered stated that the victims were returning from a neighbouring community of Idama  when the fully armed  bandits struck.

Chairman of Akuku Toru local government council, Rowland Sekibo, was said to have confirmed the abduction to journalists.

However,  the states Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Nnamdi Omoni,  a Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP),  when contacted,  could not confirm the incident.
