A youth socio-political group in Ogun West, Yewa Youth Pacesetters, has hailed the senator representing senatorial district, Solomon Olamilekan Adeola, otherwise known as Yayi, for facilitating what it described  as “elusive developmental projects” to the senatorial district barely one year into his assumption at the 10th senate.
The group, in a statement signed by its President, Dapo Fasola, on Friday, said Senator Adeola has not only changed the narrative in Ogun West, his facilitation of over 100 capital projects across the senatorial district has impacted positively on the people.
Fasola in the statement further noted that the region, despite being the hub of internally generated revenue for Ogun State, remained underdeveloped for years, stressing that the senator’s qualitative representation has attracted good governance to the senatorial district.
According to him, completed and ongoing capital projects across the six local government areas in the senatorial district including school buildings, health care facilities, roads and bridges, town halls and police stations, would expedite the desired infrastructural development and socio-economic growth of Ogun West.
The group added that from the projects, several empowerment programmes and vocational trainings facilitated by the senator for the youth, women and traders, have helped to grow numbers of self-employed constituents and enhanced economic prosperity of the beneficiaries.
While further commending Adeola who doubles as the Chairman of the Senate Committee on Appropriations for his sterling performance under a year in the saddle at the Red Chamber of the National Assembly, Fasola urged the senator not to relent in his efforts to enhance the socio-economic growth and attract more capital projects to Ogun West.
The group, however, commended the synergy between the senator and the Ogun State governor, Dapo Abiodun, which has enabled seamless attraction and siting of constituency projects with a view of complementing the developmental efforts of the governor.
The YYP charged other federal lawmakers representing Ogun at the National Assembly to emulate Senator Adeola by ensuring good representation as well as the empowerment of their constituents.
It equally charged them to rally round the senator in his bid to reposition Ogun West and change the narrative of underdevelopment which was synonymous with the senatorial district.
