A support group, Enugu Coalition Movement for Peter Mbah (ECMP) has commended the governor of Enugu State, Peter Mbah for achievements already recorded in key sectors across the state.

The group which made its observation known in a communique reached after its first quarterly meeting for 2024 held in Enugu, said that the governor had already gone a long way in fulfilling his campaign promises to Enugu residents.

 The communique jointly signed by the Director General, Chinedu Nwamba and Secretary, Okey Mbah, read in part: “We laud the governor’s significant efforts and strategic acumen in restoring relative peace in Enugu State.

“Acknowledging the notable decline in heinous crimes perpetrated by both marauding herdsmen and unidentified gunmen, we applaud his administration’s effective measures in curbing insecurity.

“We commend His Excellency for promptly fulfilling his campaign pledge to ensure access to clean and potable water for the people of Enugu State within his first 180 days in office.

“We express satisfaction with Gov. Peter Mbah’s administration’s proactive approach towards infrastructural development, particularly in the realm of road construction.

“The introduction of innovative models such as smart schools in the education sector garnered commendation from us.

“We hail the recent establishment of the new Enugu Electricity Regulatory Commission as a significant milestone by us. We express satisfaction with ongoing efforts aimed at restoring the aesthetic appeal of Enugu Capital City through the Environmental Sanitation and Waste Management Agency (ESWAMA).

“The establishment of the New Enugu City Management Agency and Geographic Information System services received accolades from us for its potential to address housing challenges through the agency’s commitment to providing housing solutions for diverse socio-economic demographics.”

The group went ahead to pass a vote of confidence in the governor, noting that the endorsement symbolizes the collective confidence, trust and support of the coalition towards the administration’s vision and efforts.
